Youth Art Show
Thank you for your interest in the 2nd annual Taos Fall Arts Festival Youth Art Show!
The 2011 Youth Art Show was a huge success, which led us to create guidelines to continue the Youth Art Show.
Please read carefully the guidelines for submissions.
Who? All Taos County youths ages 9 years-17 years
What? Youth artists may bring in one (1) piece of original artwork no longer than 18 inches on any one side.
Where? Taos Convention Center, Bataan Hall
When? Youth art is to be delivered on Tuesday, September 25th 9 am-5 pm
Why? To provide a venue for Taos County youth artists to present their best work to be seen by 1,000’s of visitors
Specific Guidelines
TEACHERS: Due to the lack of space we are not able to display an entire class of artwork. Please choose up to two pieces of artwork from one class. We suggest pulling names out of a hat versus having the artwork judged so everyone feels valued. OR the artwork could possibly be judged by an outside source.
Framing: Two-dimensional artwork must be framed and properly wired for the correct hanging. For example, if the work is to be hung vertically, the wiring should be in place for vertically hanging. *This was a major problem last year so please double-check the artwork hangs properly, thank you.
Artwork is to be picked up on Monday, October 8th between 9 am and 5 pm at the Bataan Hall
If desired, youth artists may choose to sell their art at a reasonable and realistic market price. If the art sells the youth artist receives 100% of the sale price.
Youth artists need to provide a table or display stand for 3-D art such as sculptures or pottery
Unfortunately the TFAF does not have display cases for jewelry thus jewelry cannot be accepted
Please complete the Youth Art Entry Form and bring the completed form along with one piece of original art on Tuesday, September 25th.
